I finally got around to trying out Konjaks latest game he’s working on, The Iconoclasts. I really enjoyed his last game, Noitu Love 2, it had really nice art and music and the boss fights were great.
Well, Iconoclasts seems to turn everything up a notch. It looks beautiful, very colorful and pretty. It was very fun to play and it seems to have very funny and interesting characters and story. The boss fights were great with some nice mechanics, something I remember fondly from Noitu Love 2. I can’t wait to play the full version!
There’s an alpha version available that anyone can download and try.
I found out about Hawken this week, which looks mighty awesome. I’d take big mechs and sci-fi over zombies or realistic shooters anyday. 🙂
Voxatron was released last week via HumbleBundle.com as The Humble Voxatron Debut for pay what you want. It’s a pretty fun adventure/action shooter made out of voxels. It’s still in alpha but already very fun to play. There are two game modes, adventure and arcade. You can also download and play user made levels.
Here is the Humble Bundle promo video:
I’ve been playing Zombie Minesweeper on iPhone. The only other minesweeper games I’ve played are the ones that came with Windows 98/XP, so I don’t know what other kinds of variations of the game there are. But this one is a really good one with nice visuals and a great soundtrack which you can buy on iTunes and the sound effects are also very satisfying.
You basically control a girl who is trying to make it to a cabin to meet her boyfriend, all whilst avoiding mines and different kind of zombie animals. You can lure zombies onto mines or pick up weapons to fend them off.
I’ve played all the levels once but now I’m trying to get three gold coins/star on all levels which you get for completing the level without dying, finding enough mines and killing enough zombies.
…once again. *sigh*
Ok, the quests aren’t that bad, it just feels like I’ve done them one time too many.
